who has been bruised and broken and stomped on oh so many times.

I am sorry.

I am sorry I doubted you, and scolded you, and shut you down.

I am sorry for refusing to look at all the pain you were carrying, for all these years.

I am sorry for burying you and shaming you.

I am here for you now.

I am ready to love you.
